Creative faerie

Collage of a person with decorative, colourful wings.

Ice Breaker activity:

Aim: to get participants to explore their creative identity, their personal identity, and to introduce themselves to the other participants.

Method:
1. Trigger: explain the activity: express your creative self, but as a faerie!
2. Each participant is given paper, art material and collage imagery
3. A time limit is given; 30 minutes works well.
4. All participants (if they want to!) hang up their images on a shared wall.
5. Participants are asked to highlight faeries that they particularly love, and explain why they love it.

Optional: each participant talks through their image, but we find that getting them to talk about others’ work is often easier.
